The Famagusta District Court today handed down prison sentences to two men aged 30 and 35, who were found guilty of committing a number of burglaries and thefts in the free province of Famagusta.
A statement from the Police Headquarters Communication Office said that "the Court imposed an 18-month prison sentence on the 30-year-old man and a nine-month prison sentence on the 35-year-old man".
It is noted that the two individuals "were arrested last July by members of the police, following evidence obtained during the investigation of a case of burglary of a room where a 25-year-old guest was staying, in a hotel in Paralimni.
