[CNA] Prices of bread and other basic goods on the rise

The prices of bread and other basic products are on the rise, according to data released by the Consumer Protection Service. Specifically, small white bread increased by 9 cents, an increase of 8.3%. A huge increase was also seen in the prices of field cucumbers, which have shot up to €4.89 a kilo, an increase of 24.2% compared to February.

Different types of bread have seen increases of 1.2-8.3%, comparing their lowest price on 9 March with 9 February.

Similarly, in fresh vegetables, there is a large increase in cucumbers, while tomatoes and potatoes return to lower prices. Field cucumbers increased by 24.2% to €4.89 a kilo, while greenhouse cucumbers rose by €0.51 or 14.6% to €3.98 a kilo. At the same time, there is a 43% decrease
