[CNA] President Anastasiades received the Vice President of the European Commission

The Vice President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, was received today at the Presidential Palace by the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades. Earlier, Mr. Schinas, in the presence of the President, signed together with the Minister of Interior Nikos Nouris, an agreement between the Republic of Cyprus and the EU on Migration.

In his statements after the meeting, Schinas said that he had a very nice conversation with the President on the wider situation in the region. "The President is one of the most experienced leaders in the European Council, I don't need to inform him about much, because he knows a lot, and I leave very satisfied both from the great historic ceremony we had today with the Memorandum, but also from the meeting with the President, meetings that are always very very interesting," he concluded.
