President Nicos Anastasiades discussed the improvement of bilateral relations, climate change, migration, energy security and developments in the Cyprus issue during his meeting with the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, at the Presidential Palace during the Slovenian President's official visit to Nicosia on Tuesday.

President Anastasiades said that the visit takes place at the tragic juncture of the war in Ukraine, with global consequences. Cyprus and its people were the first victim of foreign invasion and violation of international law on European soil since World War II in 1974 and have been experiencing the consequences for the past 47 years, he said, adding that Nicosia can only show tangible solidarity and support to the Ukrainian people.
