The confidence that the Cyprus Police will move swiftly to investigate allegations that Cypriots are involved in a rape and sexual exploitation ring was expressed by Justice and Public Order Minister Stefi Drakou, calling on anyone with information to submit it to the Police.
Responding to a question about activist allegations of a cover-up following the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cyprus Police and Social Welfare Services for the handling and protection of potential and identified victims of trafficking, Drakou said "the Police, as I have repeatedly stated, are handling the whole issue in the right direction."
