Police are investigating a case of unnatural death involving an 81-year-old woman who died on Thursday at Nicosia General Hospital.
Police spokesman Christos Andreou told CNA that members of the force went to the scene after being called to the scene, where an autopsy was performed by forensic doctors and then a post-mortem examination was conducted on the body without identifying the exact cause of death.
Various items of evidence have been received, he said, for histopathology and other tests and they are awaiting the results to decide how to proceed.
