Police are investigating a case of attempted murder of a 26-year-old Nicosia resident, according to a statement. A man, also 26 years old, is wanted in the case. The victim is being treated in intensive care in serious condition.
The case was committed at dawn today. Specifically, at around 2.20am, the police received a tip-off about a man being injured in Nicosia. Members of the Police went to the scene, where they found a 26-year-old man injured, who was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital.
Police examinations secured testimony that a few hours earlier, the 26-year-old had been attacked by a second 26-year-old, who allegedly wounded him with a knife and then fled.
An arrest warrant was issued against the alleged perpetrator and he is wanted.
