[CNA] Pedestrian dragged into a pedestrian crossing in Paphos

A 40-year-old man, who attempted to cross Agion Anargyron Avenue yesterday afternoon, using the pedestrian crossing, was swept away by a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man.

According to a statement by the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters yesterday around 15:40, a 61-year-old man was driving his car on Agion Anargyron Avenue when at some point on the road, in a pedestrian crossing under circumstances under investigation, he lured and injured a 46-year-old man who was crossing the road.

As a result of the collision, the 46-year-old, who is a French tourist, was taken by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of Paphos General Hospital where, according to the doctor on duty, he has a fractured tibia and fractured head injuries.
