The Pancyprian Association of Leisure Centre Owners (PASIKA) calls on the Ministries of Labour and Finance to examine and agree on targeted support plans for workers and businesses in the leisure centre sector.

A PASIKA statement said that 'the Leisure Centre Industry has been dealt the final blow with the additional restrictive measures of the festive season to the many other already restrictive measures previously imposed'.

It is added that if there is no further targeted financial support without further delay, the operators will have no choice but to go on strike and layoffs, making the state directly responsible for the whole tragic situation that will ensue.
