[CNA] Papoulias a staunch friend of Cyprus, says President Anastasiades

Karolos Papoulias was a staunch friend of Cyprus and supporter of its rights, President Anastasiades said, expressing his sadness at his death.


"We are all saddened by the news of his death. I express my condolences to his family," the President tweeted.

Former President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias passed away on the morning of 26 December at the age of 92.
