Pafos is one of the most active seismogenic areas, which is why frequent earthquakes occur in the province, according to the Deputy Director of the Department of Geological Survey Christodoulos Hadjigeorgiou.
In a statement to CNA, Mr. Hadjigeorgiou said that the area of the Province is affected by both the western part of the Cypriot arc and the main part of the Cypriot arc, which is south of Cyprus.
