[CNA] Pampi Kiritsis' contribution to the PEO was praised at an event in his honour

Pampi Kyritsi's contribution to trade union activities was praised at an event held on Monday evening at the PEA's event hall in Nicosia, in the presence of Labour Minister Zeta Emylianidou, the heads of trade unions and employers' organisations and other distinguished guests.

In her speech, the General Secretary of the PEO Sotiroula Charalambous said that by talking today about the important moments of Pampi Kiritsis of the PEO, we are talking about a big part of our history, a part of 23 years characterized by important developments in labour and social issues of our country.

He said that Pampi Kiritsis took over as General Secretary of the PEO in 1999 at a time when there was a strong need to reaffirm the character and stigma of the PEO as a pioneering class-oriented organisation of the workers of Cyprus.
