[CNA] Pafos schools face housing problem, says Pafos' Chief Secondary Education Officer

Population growth in Paphos province is creating a problem of overcrowding in its schools, said Paphos Secondary Education Officer George Koutsidis. Koutsidis told CNA that a large number of migrants have gathered in Paphos and therefore, many students with migrant biographies are attending the city's secondary schools and there is an influx of students in general.



This implies, he noted, the constant upheaval of school staffing on the one hand and, on the other, the creation of housing problems in many of the city's schools, especially in secondary schools.

In particular, he mentioned that there is an overcrowding of students in the 1st Lyceum of National Archbishop Makarios III, in the Gymnasium of Ap. Paul's High School, the High School of Ag. Theodoros, Nicolaides High School and Geroskipou High School, as a result, there is an urgent need to create a new high school in
