The cardiology clinic of Paphos Hospital acquired a new modern ultrasound machine on Friday. According to the director of the hospital's cardiology clinic, Dr. Joseph Moutiris, the machine has the capacity to perform trans-thoracic and trans-oesophageal ultrasound, stress echo, carotid ultrasound, and pediatric ultrasound.
The director of the clinic recalled that the cardiology clinic already has another modern ultrasound machine in its laboratory, and two portable ones, one in the ICU and the second, currently, in the COVID ward.
He also notes that the clinic has a pending request to the OCYPY for the creation of a cardiac interventional unit, which will allow the services offered by the clinic to be upgraded even further.
