The proceedings concerning the extradition request of the five wanted men to the United States of America to face charges of financial fraud amounting to €6.000.000 and forgery, offences which are alleged to have been committed in the territory of America, continued before the Paphos District Court.
At today's hearing, the District Court allowed the American witness to testify, overruling an objection by the Legal Service.
The Court stated in its decision that the objection raised by the prosecution to the witness's testimony was similar to the objection raised to the previous witness, a criminal law professor, presented by the defendants and the Court had ruled that he could testify.
