Two cases concerning the possession or use of a machine that produces imitation bird calls are being investigated by the Police in cooperation with the Thera Service, while two persons have been fined 500 euros each.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, on Wednesday at 08:40 members of the Thera Service, while on patrol at the location "Kamenes", in Neo Horio Pafos, to combat poaching, spotted a person aged 49 years old hunting with the use of a machine that produces imitative bird calls. From the 49 year old man was taken as evidence his DOKO type hunting gun, six freshly killed wild birds and 20 full cartridges.
