The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MESY) is promoting a plan for schools to clean the air mechanically to improve air quality in classrooms.
In this context, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the University of Cyprus, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth is proceeding with a pilot implementation phase, with the installation of approximately one hundred air purification devices in a number of schools selected on a priority basis according to climatic conditions and the conduct of an evaluation survey.
If the evaluation gives positive results, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth will proceed with the installation of mechanical air purification systems in all public schools.
