Stefanos Tsitsipas started his participation in the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam with a victory.


The Greek tennis player and No. 1 ranked player narrowly defeated Spain's Alejandro Davidovic-Fokina (world No. 46) 2-1 in straight sets (7-5, 6-7, 6-4).

Tsitsipas' opponent in the second round will be Lloyd Harris and Ilya Ivaska today.

Meanwhile, Maria Sakkari started her matches at the St. Petersburg tournament with a victory.

The Greek champion won 2-0 in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) against Russia's Anastasia Potapova (world No. 75).
