In a statement, OELMEK expresses its satisfaction with the decision of the Council of Ministers (9/2/2022) to equate the sick and rest leaves of permanent teachers with those of permanent teachers.
"With the resolution of this problem, which our organization has been constantly raising in all directions in recent years, an injustice suffered for years by our colleagues who are permanent teachers compared to permanent employees in the public service is removed," it adds.
At the same time, the organisation points out that this positive step is not enough.
