Without being called to face particular problems at a pan-Cypriot level, the last 48 hours passed for the Fire Service, while no serious incidents were recorded on the part of Civil Defence due to the low barometric "Carmel".
In a statement to CNA, Fire Service spokesman Andreas Kettis said that the Cyprus Fire Service received limited calls nationwide, which totalled six.
He mentioned towing a vehicle trapped on a flooded road in the Nicosia district, as well as two or three cases where grates had to be opened on a public road in Paphos.
