No deaths were recorded on Thursday from COVID-19, while 2,536 new cases were announced by the authorities from a total of 106,890 screening tests, with a positivity rate of 2.37%. At the same time, 226 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 76 are in serious condition.
77.44% of hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination.
According to the Ministry of Health's statement, the total number of deaths remains 724, 450 males (62.2%) and
274 females (37.8%) with the average age of those who died from the disease at 76.2 years. The total number of cases is 246,354.
Meanwhile, 17 post-COVID patients who ceased to be infectious (declassified cases) continue to be intubated in serious condition due to COVID in an intensive care unit.
