The doctor, aged 53, from Larnaca, has pleaded not guilty to the 12 charges brought against him today before the Larnaca - Famagusta Permanent Criminal Court in connection with a case of issuing fake vaccination certificates to his patients.
During today's proceedings, the 53-year-old answered "I do not admit" to the 12 charges brought against him by the representative of the Prosecution.
Specifically, the six charges related to the one person who died at Famagusta General Hospital, which operates as a Reference Hospital for patients with coronavirus, after police investigations found that the patient had confided to medical and nursing staff at the hospital that he had secured a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 when he had not been vaccinated.
