The exit was fatal for two National Guardsmen, as one was fatally injured and the other suffered multiple fractures after a traffic accident on the Limassol - Platres road, near the former dog field in Vati.
Dead is 19-year-old Evangelos Giannopoulos, who was a passenger in a vehicle that hit guard rails and overturned in a ditch.
In his statements at the scene, the head of the Limassol traffic police, Emilios Kafas, said that "unfortunately, today we had a fatal traffic accident in the Limassol district, in which a 19-year-old citizen died."
