The new criteria for the disposal and management of Turkish Cypriot properties have been completed and will be submitted for discussion before the relevant Advisory Committee so that by Easter they can be submitted to the House of Representatives, the Ministry of Interior says in response to reports by Pafos Mayor Faidon Faidonos on the management of Turkish Cypriot properties.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the criteria were revised on the basis of the policy proposal for the modernisation of the management of T/C properties and aim to ensure transparency, meritocracy and equality.

With regard to the reports of the Mayor of Paphos, the Ministry of Interior replied that they contain "unsubstantiated allegations, personal attacks and characterizations against the Minister of Interior" and called on him "instead of making unsubstantiated allegations,
