The police arrested a 38-year-old Limassol resident yesterday for the case of illegal importation, supply and possession of narcotic substances, specifically cannabis weighing 27.5 kilos, which were found at Larnaca airport in July 2021.
The arrest of the 38-year-old brings the number of arrests in this case to six, following the arrests of three persons last July and two others last February.
Police recall that the investigation of the case began on July 3, when during the baggage check of two persons, aged 32 and 41, arriving at Larnaca airport from a European country, 30 packages containing cannabis, weighing a total of 27 kilograms and 509 grams, were found and seized.
