While the international community is watching with bated breath the developments around Ukraine, concerns in Cyprus are intensifying, as the open economy of the country is not expected to remain unaffected in case of a worsening of the crisis.
Tourism, business, banking and grain prices are the main sectors likely to be affected, according to assessments by academics and economic actors who spoke to CNA. At the same time, the need for Cyprus to be vigilant in order to avoid maximising any impact is noted.
