Tennis fans had the opportunity to watch one of the best Grand Slam finals of recent years. After a thrilling encounter that lasted five hours and 27 minutes, Rafael Nadal made history in Melbourne as he pulled off an incredible upset to defeat Danil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5) to win the Australian Open and become the first tennis player to reach 21 Grand Slam tournament trophies, leaving Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in second place on the table.
In the first set of today's final, Medvedev managed to surprise the Spaniard and break in the fifth game, leading 3-2.
