Moody`s has upgraded the Bank of Cyprus deposit rating to Ba3 from B1 with a positive outlook.
According to a Bank of Cyprus statement, the US firm said that "the upgrade of Bank of Cyprus' ratings reflects the significant ongoing improvement in the bank's asset quality following its agreement to sell a portfolio of non-performing loans with a gross book value of EUR 568 million, as well as real estate with a book value of approximately EUR 120 million.
