The Council of Limassol Cultural Bodies expresses its opposition to thoughts of moving the Limassol Archaeological Museum outside the city limits in an open letter, in which it puts forward a series of proposals for upgrading the existing site.
In its letter, the Council states that it has been informed with great surprise that there is a thought of moving the archaeological museum to another area, noting that the existing area is convenient and ideal for everyone.
"We recognize that the museum needs modernization and improvements that could be made without moving it," it continues, suggesting that "this is, after all, the trend internationally, to improve existing museum buildings in terms of their exhibition space."
