The Ministry of Interior has responded to today's Politis newspaper article on the Lakes Centre by accusing the newspaper of "misinformation and bad faith criticism".
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said that the publication "is full of inaccuracies" adding that the centre was built with money from the national budget, without initially requesting European funding, "simply because we did not have the luxury of time to wait for such a time-consuming process".
The ministry says that there is no question of meeting any specific standards beyond what is appropriate," nor, of course, does the report that it lacks infrastructure reflect reality."
