Minister of Interior Nikos Nouris and Vice-President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation on migration today at the Presidential Palace. The signing ceremony will be attended by the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades.
Schinas, who is on an official visit to Cyprus, said on Saturday that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Cyprus, the Commission and all relevant EU departments and agencies will strengthen and improve operational cooperation on migration, on the basis of a detailed joint action plan for migration management.
Last week, the Republic of Cyprus and FRONTEX reached an agreement on the conclusion of an operational action plan on migration that will establish a joint operational action plan on migration. including the development of management systems
