[CNA] Limassol resident victim of online fraud

A new case of internet fraud is being investigated by the Limassol Police against a Limassol resident from whom the sum of 108,000 euros was extracted.

According to the Police, a resident of Limassol, made a complaint that in late October 2021, after communicating with two unknown women, of American and Asian origin, through a social networking application, he was persuaded to invest in two platforms - cryptocurrency exchanges.

The complainant created accounts on the two platforms and transferred a total amount of EUR 108,000.
