The Police announced that the roads in the mountainous areas of Limassol and Morphou are open only for 4x4 vehicles or with anti-slip chains as is the case for the roads leading to Troodos and recommends special attention to those travelling on the road network.
Specifically, according to a police statement on the state of the roads around 10.30, the roads Platron-Troodos, Karvouna-Troodos, Prodromos-Troodos, Pedoulas-Pine Wood-Kakopetria, and Pedoulas-Prodromos are open only for vehicles with all four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-slip chains, due to snowfall since the morning in the mountainous areas.
