The members of the British Cypriots Council call on the new UK Secretary of State for Europe James Cleverley to include Cyprus in his agenda as "its strategic position makes it extremely vulnerable".
They note that the Republic of Cyprus has made generous concessions to achieve a just and workable solution, but Turkey's intransigence makes this "a rather remote prospect".
"We strongly feel that now is the time to resolve the Cyprus problem on the basis of a functional, bicommunal, bizonal federation, in accordance with relevant UN and Security Council resolutions, with explicit reference to Resolution 1251.
