Food to support the Larnaca Social Food Pantry was collected during a charity event of Love and Contribution, in memory of Aki Stavrou, former President of the Association, by the Association of Shopkeepers of the Larnaca Historical Shopping Centre, as part of its social work.
The event took place from 11 in the morning at Ermou Square and Zinonos Kiteos Street and the public offered various food items including lentils, pasta, beans, rice, oil, tomato paste, long-life milk and others.
In his statements, Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras said that "today's event held by the Association of Shopkeepers of the Historic Shopping Centre of Larnaca demonstrates its contribution to our fellow man.
