[CNA] Larnaca Criminal Court finds two young men guilty of raping a minor in Agia Napa

The Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta yesterday, Wednesday 6 April, found guilty two young men from Nicosia who were accused of raping a minor in Ayia Napa in the summer of 2020.

The hearing of the case had been held behind closed doors to protect the identity of the complainant, who was 17 years old at the time in question.

The 17-year-old girl was the main witness for the prosecution and her testimony was considered by the Court of Cassation to be credible, with the result that the Court's decision resulted in the conviction of the two young men, aged 20, who at the time in question were acquainted with the minor.
