Sailor Pavlos Kontidis, athlete Eleni Artimata, football team Omonia and Apollon Ladies were named the top athletes for 2021 and were awarded at the 49th Cyprus Sportswriters' Association's (CSA) Celebration of Excellence, held yesterday at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre under the auspices of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (CSO).
The slogan of this year's celebration was "Our para-athletes show the way!", with emphasis on para-sports and highlighting the impressive performance of our para-athletes and the general activity of people with disabilities in the field of sport.
As stated in a statement of EAK, the Celebration of the Aristas was honored with the presence of the President of the Republic Anita Demetriou, the Minister of Education Prodromos Prodromou and the Minister of Justice Stefi Drakou, the Deputy Ministers of Social Welfare Anastasia Anthousi and Shipping Vassilis
