[CNA] Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour to the Director of the Leventis Gallery

The Director of the Leventis Gallery, Lucia Loizou Hadjigavriel, was awarded the rank of Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour (Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite), one of the highest distinctions of the French Republic, at a ceremony held yesterday at the French embassy residence.

This honour is awarded, by decision of the French President, to personalities of international standing in recognition of their work, singling out those who, according to the Order's founding decree, are distinguished "for their values in relation to France".

As stated in today's announcement, the Ambassador of France to Cyprus, Salina Grenet-Catalano, presented the Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour to Lucia Loizou Hadjigavriel, focusing, among other things, on her brilliant career in the field of culture - already since
