Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides will leave on Thursday for Brussels, where he will participate in the extraordinary EU Foreign Affairs Council to be held tomorrow.
A press release from the Ministry said that the Foreign Ministers will focus exclusively on developments in Ukraine following recent EU decisions to impose restrictive measures against Russia and the further coordinated reaction of member states.
The discussions are expected to focus, inter alia, on the immediate de-escalation effort and the protection of the civilian population, as well as on support initiatives for Ukraine.
