Karaiskakeio is an institution that makes Cyprus proud, as the Volunteer Bone Marrow Donor Registry is the first in the world in terms of population, the Minister of Health said yesterday, Michael Hadjipandela, during his visit to the Karaiskakei Foundation, where he was given a tour of the facilities and briefed on the organisation's activities and programmes against leukaemia.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Health said that Mr. Hadjipandela expressed his admiration for the Foundation's facilities and specialized state-of-the-art machinery, while being informed about the challenges it faces.
