[CNA] Justice Minister and FRONTEX Executive Director discussed issues of common interest

Issues of common interest regarding Frontex's cooperation with the competent authorities of Cyprus on border security and the monitoring of illegal migration trends in combination with cross-border crime were the focus of an informal meeting between the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Stefis Drakos, and the Executive Director of Frontex, Fabrice Leggeri.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Justice, "through the fruitful exchange of views, the common approach to strengthening the protection of Cyprus' external borders, which are essentially the borders of the European Union, was reaffirmed through the support of Frontex members.
