Investigations for poaching were carried out today in the Limassol district, as part of a joint operation by the Police of the Republic and the British Bases. One person was arrested for poaching and illegal possession of firearms.
According to a statement from the British Bases, a total of six houses were searched, two of them within an area owned by the Bases.
During a search in Paramali, officers located a hare, a shotgun, a number of cartridges and a four-wheel motorcycle, which had been reported stolen, and proceeded to arrest a man for the offences of poaching and illegal possession of firearms.
