January is the worst month since August 2021 in terms of deaths recorded from coronavirus, State Health Services Organization (SHSO) spokesman Charalambos Harilaou told CNA, adding that there is currently pressure on the Intensive Care Units of hospitals.
Harilaou said that in recent days a stable number of patients, around 220 inpatients, has been observed, some of whom are being treated in conditions of increased care and in the Intensive Care Unit.
