President Nicos Anastasiades responded to criticism of the government's handling of the EastMed pipeline, in statements made outside the European Parliament's office in Nicosia, noting that it is "time for opposition to be based on constructive criticism and not on nihilism".
Asked whether he shared Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides' position that "EastMed has always been a tool for causing problems", the President replied that "I don't think that is what Kasoulides meant, nor is it a matter of commenting on the possibly personal views he expressed at some point."
