The Equality and Equal Treatment Department "TISIM" of the Democratic Labour Federation of Cyprus (DEOC) launches a nationwide campaign and targeted actions to promote gender equality in employment and pay, on the occasion of the 8th of March, International Women's Day.
According to a statement by the ICFTU, the campaign will cover the year 2022 and actions will be developed to demand the inclusion of a special clause for the elimination of the pay gap in all collective agreements.
The actions will also "move towards convincing employers to implement annual pay review procedures to identify gender discrimination problems in job classification systems by setting up equality schemes including transparent pay systems".
