In order to raise awareness among all stakeholders to take protective and preventive measures that will contribute to the reduction of accidents, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents, the Labour Inspection Department is conducting a campaign of inspections on occupational safety and health issues in March, in premises where hazardous chemicals are used and/or stored.
Specifically, according to an announcement of the Department transmitted by the GTI, inspections will be carried out at premises where production or storage activities of various chemicals such as pesticides, fertilizers, lacquers, varnishes, gums, paints, insulation materials, plastic materials, sponges, cosmetics, soaps, medicines, etc. are carried out.
