The Police reminds the public that, due to the three-day holiday, it has taken particularly increased measures, giving priority to the safety of road users and the protection of citizens and their property.
The measures include intensified motorized patrols and increased presence of traffic police members on motorways, interurban roads and especially on main roads, a statement said.
Police are once again appealing to drivers to be particularly careful and comply with traffic signals and the instructions of police officers.
