The increase in the number of beneficiaries of the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa programme from 100 to 500 was announced by the Minister of Finance, Constantinos Petrides. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers which met on Thursday.
Petrides made reference to the approach of companies to operate and expand their activities in Cyprus, a plan which was approved in October 2021 by the Council of Ministers and started to be implemented in 2022. Part of this plan is the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa, "which aims to attract nationals from third countries outside the European Economic Area and allows them to reside in Cyprus provided that their work is provided through information technologies for companies or clients established abroad," he noted.
