A commotion was caused at Larnaca airport on Wednesday afternoon when a police officer-passenger who was due to depart for abroad failed to pass a normal checkpoint.
CNA reports that the off-duty police officer-passenger, who was due to travel in the afternoon, used his service pass to enter and exit the departures area without following the prescribed check.
For security reasons, all passengers travelling at that time (approximately 300 people) had to go through screening again.
