The President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Nikos Nouris, will visit Pournara, the Reception and Accommodation Centre for Migrants, on Monday morning at 9 am, the Deputy Minister of Welfare, Anastasia Anthousi, the Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights Protection, Maria Stylianou-Lottidis and the Commissioner for the Protection of Children's Rights, Despo Michaelidou.
A written statement by the Government Spokesman, Marios Pelekanou, says that the purpose of the President's visit is to see for himself and examine the situation in the temporary accommodation site.
